The First Sunday Arts Festival (FSAF) is slated to resume in July 2020, pending City of Annapolis approval. This special event is Chesapeake Bay’s top street arts festival and most unique arts & crafts show. As usual, FSAF will be held on the first Sunday of every month through November in 2020.
Come into Annapolis and spend a pleasant weekend in Maryland’s beautiful and historic seaside capital to enjoy this outdoor arts festival. You can admire the work of more than 130 local artists and craftspeople.
Live entertainment will be all around as artists do creative demonstrations and street musicians sing and play their instruments. If you get an appetite for delicious Southern food and barbecue, head to Red Hot & Blue Annapolis, which is only five miles away.
Founded in 2001, the FSAF was created when two popular art receptions that were held at the ARTFX gallery and 49 West Coffeehouse on the first Sunday night of every month became so overcrowded that people spilled onto the sidewalks. A number of businesses on West Street subsequently joined in, and the street festival gradually grew into a day-long affair that was named the First Sunday Arts Festival.
Rain or shine, every FSAF will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month from July 5 to November 1, 2020. The events are fun and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Admission is free, and the festival is located on the intersection of West Street and Calvert Street.
